A few facts about how the generation gap in the workplace affects productivity
In large business organizations, generational differences (work style, way of thinking, values and interests) can lead to a number of complications. Communicating in teams is a real challenge, even when the difference is only a decade.
Generation of traditionalists - born in the 1950s (64+) - "Work to survive"
Growth generation, or "baby boomers" - born in the 1960s (50+) - "Live to work and achieve"
Generation X or "children of the transition" - born in the 70s of the 20th century (40+) - "Working to live better"
Generation Y or "millennial children" - born before the 80s and 90s of the 20th century - "Work so they can have fun"
